A look back to 2023, when we had the privilege of relocating the historic colliery wheel to its new home in Donisthorpe Memorial Gardens.

Using our HIAB lorry, the move required careful planning, precision, and teamwork to safely transport and position this important piece of local mining heritage. It was a proud moment to play a part in preserving a reminder of the area’s rich industrial past, ensuring that future generations can continue to appreciate and reflect on Donisthorpe’s coal mining history. Seeing the wheel take pride of place within the memorial gardens was a rewarding achievement and a fitting tribute to the community’s heritage.
